Family-owned and operated since 1975, Roberto’s is where great dining begins. Known for mouth-watering Italian and Southern Mediterranean cuisine, Roberto's Ristorante Italiano offers homemade food that captures the essence of Italy. Our fresh seafood and pasta are prepared specifically to your order, ensuring a delightful dining experience every time.
Our story began with Roberto Gargiulo, who was initially one of the founders of Pizza Pizza in Toronto. This venture laid the foundation for his culinary journey. After successfully opening the first four locations of Pizza Pizza, Roberto sold his shares and returned to Naples, Italy, where he opened a restaurant near the ocean, which today is a yacht club. His passion for Italian cuisine brought him back to Toronto, where he opened Bella Napoli Pizza in 1969, a takeout and delivery-only pizzeria that quickly gained popularity.
In 1975, Roberto and his wife Annamaria founded Roberto’s Ristorante Italiano, which continues to thrive today. Our goal is to serve traditional Neapolitan Italian cuisine just as Roberto envisioned. What makes us unique is our commitment to using the freshest ingredients every day. We cook to order, ensuring nothing is sitting around, and offer authentic Neapolitan recipes straight from Naples. We are proud to be one of the only Neapolitan restaurants in Toronto with roots directly from Naples.
